This biography was written by John Billman, a member of the Pro Ticino Club, and close friend of Harry Downie. The criticallyacclaimed book was published just before John’s death this June.


Harry Downie was a remarkable man who devoted his life to restoring the iconic Carmel Mission to its original beauty. Downie and the mission are each important to the historyof California’s development as a state. 


Price includes delivery within the San Francisco Bay Area.  Other deliveries to be at winning bidder's expense.   Pick-up options at Bay Area Swiss club events are noted below.

Unless otherwise indicated above, items will need to be picked up by the bidder at either of the following locations/dates:

- September 2, 2023: San Joaquin Swiss Club, 110 North Manley, Ripon, CA 95366


Shipping and handling charges (if any) must be paid by the bidder.


Payments must be made via credit card. A transaction fee (5%) and a credit card processing fee (3.4% + $0.35) will be added to the bid amount and charged to the bidders credit card.


If required under applicable law, sales tax will be added to the bid amount and charged to the successful bidder’s credit card.
