Foreground/Middleground/Background Cardboard Collage

Fourth graders have been studying all of the different ways to show 3-dimensional space in our artwork. In this collage, we layered our landscapes with several specially cut cardboard pieces, then added paint for color and oil pastel for texture. Students even tried to include atmospheric perspective in their pictures–making the images further away blurrier than those close up.
