Warm/Cool Paintings, Approximately 14" x 18"

Kindergarteners used tempera paint to create this abstract painting in three steps. First we talked about the warm color group and mixed our own versions of the reds, oranges and yellows that it includes to add to our painting. Then we discussed the cool color family that included blues, greens and purples. We mixed our own cool colors to add next to our warm color shapes. The last step was to add black lines and patterns for texture, creating amazing compositions!
