Session 2: Star Clay - May the Force be with You (6/26 - 6/30)

This is the perfect class for students to explore their sense of touch! From R2D2 Jars to Porg piggy banks, students will combine their imagination and a lot of clay, and use the method of hand-building to bring their favorite characters from the movie and book series to life. Clay will be fired in a kiln off-site and all artwork will be wrapped and returned to the students at the end of the session.

Session 3: Harry Pottery (7/10 - 7/14)

Come get your hands dirty with clay while exploring the fantasy world of Harry Potter. While channeling their favorite characters at Hogwarts, these young witches and wizards will learn how to incorporate the 3 basic techniques of clay hand building: slab, coil, and pinch pot; while paying homage to this popular series by creating goblets of fire, bobblehead owls, golden snitches and more. The students will glaze and paint their pieces and their clay will be fired in a kiln off-site. All artwork will be wrapped and returned to the students at the end of the session.

Little Yellow House Art Ceramics Camp is for kids ages 6-12 years old. Camp hours are Monday-Friday, 9am-2:30pm. The camp is located at the Turning Point School Maker Space, 8780 National Blvd., Culver City 90232.
