Balance is a foundational skill that helps support all higher learning. Once balance is mastered it occurs naturally; allowing children to move their attention and focus onto other things. When children are encouraged to slow down while balancing they are given the opportunity to develop a deeper awareness of their body, how it moves, reacts and how they can control it. A sturdy vestibular system and sense of balance enables children to concentrate, sit still and listen when required, to think clearly, and to succeed at reading, writing and self regulation.
