Join experienced knitter and FTCNS parent, Betsy Birkey for a 2-session beginners knitting course. You will learn the essentials of knitting - how to cast on, knit, purl, and cast off stitches, leaving you with the knowledge and confidence to continue on your own!

The first session will teach you the skills to get you going. The second session will teach additional skills and also address questions and difficulties you experienced as you practiced at home.

One skein of yarn and one pair of knitting needles will be provided to get you started. In a comfortable, kid-free environment at her home in North Center, enjoy learning the basics of knitting in a small group setting. There will be 4 students maximum to ensure everyone gets plenty of personal attention.

There will be 2 sessions, 1.5 hours each. They will take place on Saturdays or Sundays during the months of April and May 2023. In order to accommodate schedules, dates will be determined based on participant availability. Please only bid on this item if you have some flexibility on your weekends in April and May.

This is a class of 4 students so it would be a fun group activity with your friends!
