About Balboa Bay Club
The renowned Balboa Bay Club was opened in 1947. Some of the notable famous guests and members include Greta Garbo, Clark Gable, Jack Benny, Humphrey Bogart, Lauren Bacall, Bing Crosby, John Wayne, Joan Crawford, Lucy and Desi Arnaz, President George H. W. Bush, President Richard Nixon, and President Gerald Ford. 1966 construction on the 144 apartments began and in 2003 the 159 room resort opened to the public.
