Yearly for “Mm” Week the Budgies study themselves in a Mirror and draw self-portraits and for “Ss” week they discuss storytelling and how stories come in many forms.

This year we decided to take these lessons a step further and write self-stories and make self-collages so we could create a special book. We began this project by reading We Are All Alike... We Are All Different by Cheltenham Elementary School. We discussed how we all have similarities yet are all quite unique. Afterwards, each child made a self-collage painting and wrote a short story about him/herself.
