ItÂÂ’s hard to believe that just 2 hours from the Bay Area youÂÂ’ll find a secluded redwood haven thatÂÂ’s as off the grid as ThoreauÂÂ’s Walden (but stocked with more comforts, of course). Lose yourself willingly in this 60s era cabin, complete with an outdoor one-person clawfoot tub where you can soak amongst the 400 year old redwood forest. Central heating, a fire pit for sÂÂ’mores and the like, a grill (medium), and a wood burning fireplace, are a few reasons that this cozy forest retreat is the hot ticket for your next family vacation or group getaway. The main house (sleeping 4) is a one bedroom with two twin trundles, and a sleeper couch (queen size) that will have you waking up with the birds, forest landscapes, and the bacon and Bloody Marys youÂÂ’ll whip up in the fully equipped kitchen. Spin a few records on the turntable that also syncs with bluetooth. The spacious outdoor deck accommodates relaxing afternoon hammock naps, or sleeping under the stars. The property also includes 1 official campsite for medium/large sized tent, along with ample room for kids to camp on the deck (if they donÂÂ’t want to venture too far). Message the host to discuss tent camping for more details. This property is extremely kid-friendly, and includes 6 inner tubes for hours and hours of adult-supervised creek fun. Russian River, located in Monte Rio, is 20 minutes by car if you feel like venturing out. The driveway accommodates 5-7 cars comfortably for day guests (talk to host), and for those nights when the beers run out or someone forgot to buy the butter, Cazadero General Store is only a 5 minute drive down the road.
