Artist Statement:
This year's cod, titled "We Are One", is inspired by my eclectic Buddhist path and love of nature and the sea. My Buddha Cod is a gentle reminder to be kind, compassionate and understanding of all we encounter. I wrapped my ginkgo leaf mono print over the body of the cod then used painted paper to make the scales and face details. I knew from the start I would use the shape of the Buddha's head made from my painted paper.

Pick-up of purchased cods will be July 9 from 12-3, July 10 from 3-6, and July 11 from 3-6 at Sagan Harborside Sothebys 1 Essex St, Marblehead. The winning bidder will receive a notification email with information on pick-up time and location.
If winning bidder requires shipping, winner's credit card will be charged a separate $24.95 fee to cover USPS ground and handling. Shipping is available within the U.S. only and must be requested within 7 days after receipt of the notification email.
If winning bidder has not picked up their cod (or arranged shipping) within 30 days after the close of the auction, it will become the property of Marblehead Festival of Arts, Inc.
