Description

"Tide's Up, Gone Fishing" by Dot Arthur

Medium: Stoneware

Size: 19" x 8"

Artist Statement:

This is my first Cod entry and I'm thrilled to take part in this creative adventure. This stoneware cod was decorated with stamped designs and textures and glazed with various underglazes and celadon glazes. I have been making coastal tide clocks for many years which feature ocean themes and motifs. This was a chance to try something new with the Cod template shape as my guide. The tide clock mechanism built in to this Cod will keep track of the rising and falling tides and let you know when it's time to walk the beach or time to go fishing!
