Artist Statement:
This year, I am decorating my codfish with beach roses. The garden pattern of blossoms and white lattice replaces the characteristic markings of a fish. Those bright "beach roses" that grow near the shore also have a formal name: rosa rugosa. So I decided to call my fish Rosa.
Artist Biography:
I am an independent artist-primarily a painter, but I work in other media as well. I am a member of Porter Mills Studios in Beverly, MA, where I have a studio. I also exhibit at Galatea Fine Art in Boston. I studied art at Southern Colorado State College and the University of Colorado at Boulder. Pick-up of purchased cods will be July 9 from 12-3, July 10 from 3-6, and July 11 from 3-6 at Sagan Harborside Sothebys 1 Essex St, Marblehead. The winning bidder will receive a notification email with information on pick-up time and location.
If winning bidder requires shipping, winner's credit card will be charged a separate $24.95 fee to cover USPS ground and handling. Shipping is available within the U.S. only and must be requested within 7 days after receipt of the notification email.
If winning bidder has not picked up their cod (or arranged shipping) within 30 days after the close of the auction, it will become the property of Marblehead Festival of Arts, Inc.
