Artist Statement:
" As I gathered shells on the beaches of Cape Cod, I decided that I had to do something special with the Jingle shells. The Jingle shells are small roundish shells, with a beautiful luminescence and their colors range from white to orange. When I heard about the cod auction I decided that was the perfect way to create with them and my idea for the "Golden Codess" began to take shape.
Artist Biography:
Susan Gordon is a a new resident to Marblehead. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the College of New Rochelle and taught art until a career shift led her to nursing with a specialization in Labor and Delivery. During those years she remained active as an artist. She has always been a baker, creating custom cakes, cookies and gingerbread houses and taught gingerbread house design at King Arthur Bakery in VT. Now retired, she is enjoying a full return to the arts and is focused on watercolors and coastal themed craftwork.

Special Instructions
Pick-up of purchased cods will be July 9 from 12-3, July 10 from 3-6, and July 11 from 3-6 at Sagan Harborside Sothebys 1 Essex St, Marblehead. The winning bidder will receive a notification email with information on pick-up time and location.
If winning bidder requires shipping, winner's credit card will be charged a separate $24.95 fee to cover USPS ground and handling. Shipping is available within the U.S. only and must be requested within 7 days after receipt of the notification email.
If winning bidder has not picked up their cod (or arranged shipping) within 30 days after the close of the auction, it will become the property of Marblehead Festival of Arts, Inc.
