Artist Statement:
I really enjoyed creating "Sea Spring" this year! I love the idea of fish bones and again this year I cut out the cod to showcase it's skeletal bones...and to deconstruct it slightly. I like to use different textures and colors together such as the smoothness of the acrylic fish 'eggs' with the shiny steel of the springs. The addition of the springs allow the fish to have a gentle curve with its tail bending slightly towards the viewer. Hope you like it!
