Educational therapy session with Educational therapist Jan Esterkin, M.A.,M.ed.

"I work with elementary-age children struggling with reading, comprehension, writing, spelling and math. Students with dyslexia, ADHD, issues in executive functioning, memory and visual and auditory processing, will find my knowledge, kindness, compassion and sense of humor a sure path to both academic progress and self-confidence."

A one hour session includes:

- an informal assessment in decoding, phonics, phonemic awareness and spelling.

- the student will read a short passage in an age-appropiate level book

- an educational game based on the informal assessment results

- parent will recieve a bullet pointed summary of the educational therapist's reccomendations

- a brief discussion with parent with any questions or concerns
