Alecia has been an athlete her entire life, competing at the collegiate, national and international level in Track & Field and Bobsleigh, representing Canada. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Exercise Sciences, and a minor in Chemistry. Alecia continued her educationally pursuit by attending Palmer College of Chiropractic-West, graduating Salutatorian, receiving her Doctorate in Chiropractic.

Dr. Beckford-Stewart has been trained in KinetiMethod, and holds certifications in Active Release Technique, Dynamic Neural Stabilization, and corrective exercise prescription. She aspires to utilize all her manual skills as well as her vast experience as an athlete and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist to practice with a holistic, movement minded approach.
