Why drink Bird-Friendly Coffee?

"Conventional" coffee is grown on fields that have had trees removed, even though coffee prefers shade, because it is easier and cheaper to mechanically pick coffee cherries.  

Removing those trees removes the homes of many types of wildlife. Birds are pollinators and seed disseminators. Birds on our coffee farms actually help to grow more coffee!

Bird-Friendly certified coffees come from farms using a combination of foliage cover, tree height, and biodiversity to provide quality habitat for birds and other wildlife. The coffee is grown organically and handpicked at the peak of ripeness, which makes for better tasting coffee.
