About the company:

ibidPREP has become an institution on the Upper West Side since it opened in 2012, and our founder and lead tutor, Stuart Servetar, has been working with young minds since the late 80’s. Through experience and insight, Stuart is able to grasp the ins and outs of students' thought processes, create all our coursework and syllabuses accordingly, and oversee all our work with students whether that work is in small groups or one-on-one.

About the founder:

Stuart Servetar has been tutoring privately for more than two decades and founded ibidPREP in 2006. He received a B.A. from Wesleyan University in '83 and majored in English Literature and Philosophy. Over the years, Stuart has helped hundreds of students from the finest private and public schools in New York City gain entrance to the best middle schools and high schools in NYC and the best colleges and universities in the U.S. and abroad. In addition to his work as a private tutor, Stuart Servetar has worked as an arts and culture journalist [e.g. Art in America, Esquire, Time Out New York] and exhibited his paintings in galleries in New York City and throughout Europe. He lives with his wife and two sons in Manhattan.
