Immerse yourself in the rich history, glory, and culture of London, one of the most visited cities in the world! The striking architecture of the city tells the captivating story of its past, and some of its most iconic attractions - such as Big Ben and Buckingham Palace - are instantly recognizable landmarks. Two tours will introduce you to the best of London, from the monumental Tower of London; and the symbols of monarchy, religion, and power contained in Westminster Abbey; to 1,000 years of history and modern politics in the Houses of Parliament.
Stay in one of two stylish apart'hotels, which feature elegance in intimate residence spaces and the comfort of your own apartment in combination with all the amenities you'd expect from a hotel. These cozy apart'hotels offer well-traveled guests multiple serviced apartment choices that are modern and aptly furnished with a fully-equipped modern kitchen, a bed area, en suite bathroom, and a living area. Straddling the line between Central London's business district and the bustling West End, the Citadines Holborn-Covent Garden London is in the prime location for exploring the best of both worlds, giving guests the breathing space to wind down and rejuvenate after a weary day. Of course, no trip to Central London is complete without a proper visit to West End's Covent Garden, a 10-minute walk from the serviced residence, where upscale fashion boutiques meet vintage shops and Michelin-starred restaurants rub shoulders with cheap take-out stalls. Perhaps the most famous thing about London's West End is its vibrant theater scene, which rivals New York's Broadway, to present some of the world's best theater performances.
Nestled in the elegant neighborhood of South Kensington, bordering the renowned shopping and eating districts of Chelsea and Knightsbridge, Citadines South Kensington London is the perfect luxurious retreat to soothe your senses. You'll be enthralled by the exquisite Victorian architecture and lush tree-lined streets that characterize this neighborhood, taking you away from the hustle and bustle of the city center. Within the area, you'll find a treasure trove of cultural destinations, as the Victoria and Albert Museum, Royal Albert Hall, the Natural History Museum and the Science Museum are all located within walking distance of your residence. Shopping is aplenty at Knightsbridge, where a visit to Harrods is a must-do. After a long day, unwind with a slow stroll through Hyde Park or Kensington Gardens, two of London's eight royal parks, and both located within your vicinity.
Or escape to the intimate luxury of Roseate House London, a boutique hotel in central London known as a haven of elegance amidst the hustle and bustle of the city. The hotel comprises three carefully restored mid-19th-century Grade II listed townhouses, and the exquisitely appointed guestrooms feature antique period furniture and original oil paintings. Paired limestone bathrooms, Roseate House London creates an atmosphere of exclusivity. Located just a block away from Hyde Park, Roseate House London is within easy walking distance of London attractions such as Kensington Palace, The Royal Albert Hall, Oxford Street, Park Lane, High Street Kensington and Portobello Road.
London's fascinating history comes to life on the four-hour Best of Royal London tour, which begins with early VIP access to the Tower of London, renowned as a secure fortress, a royal palace, and an infamous prison! Once inside, prepare to be dazzled by the breathtaking crown jewels, a world-famous collection of 23,578 gemstones that are still used in royal ceremonies today. You'll also have the rare chance to see the Opening Ceremony performed by the Yeoman Warders (or Beefeaters, as they are more commonly known). Next, hop aboard a Thames River cruise boat, and glide along the river into Central London. Be sure to have your camera ready to capture snapshots of London's legendary landmarks, such as Shakespeare's Globe, the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben and St. Paul's Cathedral. For a striking display of British pomp and pageantry, watch the famous Changing of the Guard ceremony outside Buckingham Palace, carried out by the red-coated soldiers of the Household Cavalry or Queen's Foot Guard.
The comprehensive half-day Westminster Abbey and Houses of Parliament tour introduces you to two of London's most iconic, history-steeped monuments. While gaining fascinating insight into the royal history of Great Britain, you'll absorb the Gothic grandeur of Westminster Abbey's interior, the monumental monarch-owned church where British royals are both crowned and laid to rest. Then you'll head inside the Houses of Parliament, home of Big Ben, where you can explore the hallowed halls and see highlights like the House of Commons and Lord's Chamber. From your guide, you'll learn about the United Kingdom's political system and major historic events while touring the prominent landmarks.
