About the piece:
I was inspired to create these handmade, one-of-a-kind Advent
calendars from a cherished Christmas tradition in my own family. Some
of my favorite Christmas memories come from watching my two daughters,
now grown, joyfully recreate the nativity scene. Eagerly each morning
during Advent, they would reach into the bag with great anticipation
to locate the magnetic piece of the day to add to the manger scene.
Just a few years ago when I was decorating for Christmas, I came
across a handwritten note inside that same bag. The note was written
in childlike penmanship keeping track of every year, which daughter
had the even days and who had the odd days ... hence who got to place
Baby Jesus in the manger, that warmed my heart. I hope you enjoy
recreating this Nativity Scene during Advent and it too brings warmth
to your heart.

Artist Bio:
Oakwood graduate, former art teacher turned stay-at-home mom and newly
found empty nester. Always wanting to keep her hand in the art world,
Muffy has done mural painting both residential and commercial, one of
which was on display at the Boonshoft Museum; custom pen and ink home
renderings, interior design work for Traditional Custom Builders,
owned and operated an embroidery company, Perfect Impressions, and is
now venturing out into the world of Christmas memories! Muffy also
enjoys traveling to visit her daughters and all over the world.
