The children each hand finger knit their own length of multi-colored cording and choose the placement of glass leaves & hearts. The multi-colored cording represents our childrens' unique multi-national, multi-lingual, & multi-heritage backgrounds. Our first grade class together originates from more than 7 different countries, nationalities, and languages. 

The lighting represents our childrens' "Light in the Dark", their resiliency in change, as they have navigated uncertain waters with ease and grace
