Since arriving in Middlebury in 1986, Judy has been involved in various aspects of the arts community. Judy holds a BS degree in Art Education and MEd in Arts integration which she has used to promote the importance of the Arts in learning in both public schools and in her afterschool classes at “Creative Encounters Studio” while guiding the board of ACSU’s district wide annual festival known as “Spring into the Arts”. Judy has received recognition for her efforts by the ACSU, Middlebury College Museum of Art, the Vermont School Board Association, and the Vermont Alliance for the Arts in Education.

Judy has always enjoyed many artistic endeavors but returned to watercolor and oil painting in the 1990’s when she joined a talented group of artists under the tutelage of well known artist, Kate Gridley. Since that time she has had her work in many shows and private collections throughout country and has donated her work and expertise to many community organizations such as Addison County Humane Society, Hospice Arts Auction, Middlebury Parks and Recreation, Middlebury Community Players, Town Hall Theater, and North Branch School Auctions.
