Bonnie Melnick works with watercolor, pastels, pigment sticks and encaustics. Her realistic and abstract paintings are inspired by a number of things. The amazing Vermont landscape has a strong influence on her pastel paintings, while the surprising results  produced by glazing, layering, and scraping inform her abstract pieces. The textures and designs from her experiences with quilting are also represented in her work. She has been painting since 2000, and has studied with several different artists. Bonnie’s studio is located in Waltham, Vermont.
