Kate Heartfield’s latest novel is The Valkyrie, a retelling of old legends. Her 2022 novel The Embroidered Book was a Sunday Times and Globe and Mail bestseller. Her debut novel, which won Canada’s Aurora Award, is being republished in a revised edition as The Chatelaine in 2023. She also writes Assassin’s Creed novels and interactive fiction, including The Road to Canterbury (2018), and The Magician’s Workshop (2019), from Choice of Games.
