A Tour for 2 of Pomham Rocks Lighthouse , 2 tee shirts, a mug, ornament, coffee & cookies

Item Number: 152
Time Left: CLOSED

Description
Take a fascinating tour of the historic 1871 Pomham Rocks Lighthouse. The last of five lighthouses situated on the Providence River, this lighthouse is still a working navigational light and has been beautifully restored both inside and out.
To get to Pomham Rocks Lighthouse, you will take a 15-minute boat ride to the island from the Edgewood Yacht Club in Cranston and sail across the Bay to the lighthouse. Our tours will also give a nod to the other lighthouses that lit the way for mariners since the nineteenth century at the northern end of the Bay.
Pomham Rocks is the name for a small, half acre island located on the Providence River about 800 feet from the shore in the Riverside section of East Providence Rhode Island. Pomham Rocks was selected as the site for a navigational aid due to an increase in shipping traffic heading towards Providence in the first half of the nineteenth century
