--Baladiña Albariño comes from the traditional, boutique family-owned winery of Lagar de Besada in the Rias Baixas region of Spain – capital of Albariño wines.

Baladiña is a zesty, elegant, crisp, dry and aromatic Albariño wine with soft and refreshing characteristics of citrus and peach. Due to its low yield, difficulty to cultivate and extreme delicacy, Baladiña is an exceptional wine that boasts an understated complexity balanced with subtle earthy notes.

High average rainfall and cool climate conditions help retain crisp and mouth-watering acidity in Baladiña’s grapes – vital for the distinctive style, intense flavor, and pleasant floral aromas.

--Pelassa Arneis is made from Arneis grapes, which are grown in the vineyard situated in San Vito di Montà Alba. Straw yellow in colour, it has a delicate, inviting, complex, floral scent recalling broom and chamomile, with a delicate scent of honey and cooked white fruits. On the palate it is dry and harmonious. It has a pleasing acidity which gives freshness and persistence. It has a particular, natural minerality, typical for Arneis from Montà d’Alba. Due to its complexity Roero Arneis has often been described as a White Barolo.

--Chardonnay grapes were hand-picked in the cool early morning from our estate vineyard at Woodside, as well as other premium blocks in Mt Torrens, and Woodside.

Grapes were carefully sorted, before being whole bunched pressed directly into French oak barrels. Barrels spent 9 months on their yeast lees prior to selective blending by the winemaking team. The 2022 Bird in Hand Chardonnay consists of 40% new oak from premium tight grained French oak with the balance from barrels 1 – 4 years old.

Bright yellow in colour, on the nose the wine is nuanced and complex, evoking intense white peach, honey spice and subtle hazelnut aromas.

On the palate, this Chardonnay showcases intense flavours of fleshy nectarine, toasted cashew, and subtle oak spice, with a creamy texture and precise acid that gives persistence.
