Bill Lane received a BFA from Southern MA University in Graphic Design. Now retired, he devotes his art time to watercolors with an occasional oil. Bill is an artist member of the Copley Society, a signature artist member of both the NE Watercolor Society and the RI Watercolor Society. He is an exhibiting artist member of the Providence Art Club and teaches there as well. He also teaches at the Newport Art Museum and has taught several workshops locally. One could say that Bill is inspired by all man-made objects and how they interact with the landscape and/or the seascape.

In this painting, "Down Time," the reflections of the hard-working vessels are so much fun to capture in watercolor.
