Sarah K. Feragen is a well-trained New England painter with 51 years of experience. Feragen's training started as a teenager when she attended the deCordova Museum School in Lincoln, MA. The artist graduated Massachusetts College of Art & Design with a BFA in painting. Feragen has exhibited in many galleries and has consistently sold her paintings. Many collections around the world enjoy her art including a major electronics firm in Japan. Her work has been seen on Newbury Street and the Museum of Science in Boston, MA. Presently living in North Attleboro, enjoying her time as a grandmother, Feragen paints regularly working on her Intimate Landscapes at her studio in Stoughton, MA, where she has been for 17 years.

"Verge of a New Spring" was created in the colors the artist associates with newborn children - gentle pastels, light blues, greens, pinks, and yellows. After an early spring walk at the Caratunk Wildlife Refuge, Feragen felt surrounded by emergent growth, that nature was on the edge of a profound renewal and that it symbolized our own deliverance after years of pandemic fallout. In the sweet and light breezes, intuition told the artist we were all going to be all right and the future held a bright promise after the traumas that we had all endured.
