Peter A. Campbell is a graduate of Vesper George School of Art, Boston, MA. His paintings have been exhibited in galleries throughout the east coast and his work is represented in many private collections. He is a former and distinguished member of the AAM Board of Trustees. He has worked as an Associate Creative Director and Senior Graphic Designer for several RI advertising agencies and corporations.

"Memorial Day" depicts the Pullen Corner School House built in 1840 located at Chase Farm in Lincoln, RI. What caught the artist's attention was the abstract composition of the scene and simple display of an American flag located below the schoolhouse window and its red, white and blue stripes catching the early morning sunlight. This painting is a simple and humble statement honoring those brave men and women who died in service to the Nation.
