Julie Siler Olander, an artist and educator with a Master's degree in art, boasts 30 years of recognition in painting and teaching within various painting mediums. Her art has been exhibited nationally and internationally but primarily in MA and FL. She is actively engaged in numerous national and international artist groups and hones her craft monthly at workshops. Her art ranges from realism to abstract. She founded the Julie Siler Olander Foundation Scholarship, supporting young talents.

"Sunflower 2" was created after a tropical storm. Julie Siler Olander was inspired by the sheer beauty and strength of the sunflower to withstand tropical winds. The delicate application of watercolor to portray nature with its powerful beauty. Perseverance during a storm.
