Kerry St. Pierre is a graduate of Mass College of Art & Design where she received training in sculpture, painting and drawing. Immersed in art since she was a child, it was her mother's soft sculpture dolls and her love of Jim Henson's creatures that inspired her current works. Kerry's one-of-a-kind hand sculpted creations allow her to use her imagination to its fullest.
This piece was originally part of a larger installation on display in the AAM's September 2023 exhibition entitled Creature Comforts. The "Victorian Rabbit" represents Kerry's journey as an artist, using the skills she learned from her mother, a talented seamstress and crafter, to develop her own artistic style.
