Description
This item is a color photograph by Kaua'i artist Dr. Lloyd Fujimoto. A dimly illuminated image of the fishing pier at Waimea is superposed on a magnificent long-exposure photo of our Milky Way galaxy as seen from the clear skies of Kaua'i's westside. The prominent light bulge in the starry image is the center of our galaxy, located in the constellation Sagitarius. Light from these stars has travelled unimaginally far distances to bathe Kaua'i in its "divine radiance".
This color photograph measures 19" x 13".
Dr. Lloyd Fujimoto is a practicing dentist in Lihue, Kauai. He graciously donates this rare photo of the Waimea nightime sky to the Center because his father was a long time supporter of the Lawai International Center. He hopes that this gift will help the Center to grow, flourish and help the world.
