Description
This item is a donated original woodblock print by Masaharu (Seiji) Aoyama (1893-1969). One can feel the power of the surging surf as the waves crash over the jagged rocks.
The woodblock print measures 17 1/2" x 12" and the overall matted size is 19" x 13 1/8". The artist's AO stamp can be seen in the lower right corner. The work is signed in pencil in the lower left margin. Date unknown. The print was obtained from Watanabe's Woodblock Prints in Tokyo circa the 1960's or 1970's.
