Description

"Hau Flotilla", 11"x14" giclee on canvas by Sheree Latif

A flotilla of hau flowers sails across a tranquil pond, their vibrant colors contrasting with the deep blue background. The artist's brushstrokes dance across the canvas, capturing the delicate beauty of the flowers and the shimmering reflections in the water.

The hau flower is a symbol of Aloha in Hawaiian culture, and this giclee on canvas is a celebration of the islands' natural beauty. The flowers seem to float effortlessly on the water, their petals kissed by the gentle breeze. The blue background evokes the deep blue of the Pacific Ocean, and the overall effect is one of peace and tranquility.

This beautiful piece is a feast for the eyes and a balm for the soul. It is a reminder of the beauty of the natural world and the power of art to transport us to another place and time.

About the Artist: Sheree Latif

Sheree is a watercolor artist living and working in Hawai'i. She discovered the medium of watercolor after moving to the islands to open a pharmacy, and she has been passionate about capturing the natural beauty of Hawai'i in her paintings ever since.

Sheree grew up painting alongside her mother, an amateur oil painter, and she developed a love and appreciation for all forms of art while attending a creative arts school for 10 years. After her parents died, Sheree decided to become a pharmacist, but she continued to weave art into her daily life.

Sheree is inspired by the unique rainbow of vibrant colors that she finds in Hawai'i, and she uses her watercolor palette to interpret and express the diverse intensity of nature. Her paintings are both visually stimulating and spiritually soothing, and they offer a glimpse into the beauty of the islands that she loves so much.
