Antique Two Tier Wooden Side Table Plant Stand Turned Bobbin Legs

Item Number: 213
Time Left: CLOSED

Description
This item is an antique bobbin-turned leg, wooden occasional or side table in the American Classical style. Standing 28.5 inches tall with two tiers, its 16 inch square top is perfect to display a jardiniere with plants or decorative vase. An additional 10.25 inch square storage shelf measures 12 inches from the table's bottom. Perhaps the most eye-catching detail of this piece are its four splayed hand turned bobbin legs. Often referred to as turned legs or ball legs, these spindle legs adds visual interest. The underside of this two-tiered table is unsigned or marked. In lovely condition and crafted in a hardwood (most probably oak or walnut or perhaps both), this parlor table was described by its donor as a "fern table."
