This is a concise booklet describing, in layman's terms, the unique characteristics of coastal redwoods. These forests are some of the most misunderstood yet most visited forests on earth. This booklet is designed to unravel some of the redwood's incredible features.

This is also a personal story, explaining both the scientific qualities of the Coastal Redwoods and the emotional values I feel for these forests. For twenty years, I have sought ways to express my feelings for these trees through my drawings, paintings, photographs, and the written word. Some of what I have discovered in this book.
