Alice is a multi- layered one of a kind print incorporating a woodcut, a collagraph of dried flowers and hand drawn and printed stencil-pochoir on Japanese mulberry, dragon tail paper. Works of this series are centered around nature. This work references the Alice of children’s literature, lost in the wonder of nature.
Artist Florence Alfano McEwin has shown her prints and paintings nationally and internationally. This fall they are displayed in multiple sites in Colorado and last spring she was honored with a show in Tokyo Japan.

Special Instructions
Artist, Florence Alfano McEwin, works in both paint and print mediums. Her work is shown nationally and internationally. International shows include those in Japan, Canada, Italy, Germany, England, Scotland, the Netherlands and France. Her numerous awards include the George and Helen Segal Foundation Award in paint and two Wyoming state fellowships for printmaking. Last Spring, she was honored with a show in Gallery Kaze,Tokyo. Fall of 2023 her works are currently being displayed in multiple galleries throughout Colorado. McEwin, who earned a Ph.D. on American Women Artists (NTU, Denton) is Professor Emeritus of Art from Western Wyoming College.
