Alyson Mattoon is a multi-disciplined Pilates Instructor in Los Angeles. With fifteen years of teaching Aly continues to stay up to date on the most current science based research on fitness and Pilates. Movement has been Aly’s passion, life guide, and inspiration from the beginning.  She left her hometown of Sedona, Arizona to pursue dance at The Virginia School of the Arts at fourteen.  Upon graduating from VSA with honors, Aly’s professional dance career took flight with The State Street Ballet of Santa Barbara, where she danced as a principle dancer for a decade.  While dancing she obtained her comprehensive Pilates certification through Body Arts and Science International known as BASI.  Aly went on to receive her BA in Performing Arts from the LEAP program (liberal education for art’s professionals) at Saint Mary’s College and GYROTONIC® certification after making LA her home.  Aly is a lifelong student of movement and loves guiding others through their Pilates and Fitness journeys.   Her teaching style and personality is relatable, body positive, progressive, athletic, and always encouraging.
