Carol Channing was one of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS earliest and most vocal champions. She gleefully joined the first autograph table of the Broadway Flea Market & Grand Auction. She allowed us to create the first "Broadway Bear" in her Hello, Dolly! likeness that became the genesis of a wildly successful 15-year auction event. This Playbill was signed by Channing from her triumphant return to Hello, Dolly! in the 1995 Broadway revival.
