Description

You can treasure Jules Fishers 1978 Tony Award for Dancin and enjoy rare memorabilia from Bob Fosse, Gwen Verdon and the legendary 1978 original cast.

In a career spanning nearly 50 years, Jules Fisher is one of the most prolific, award-winning Broadway lighting designers. He has worked with some of the biggest names on Broadway, including fellow Tony Award winning directors Bob Fosse, Tommy Tune, George C. Wolfe, Frank Galati and Arthur Laurents. Fisher has been a Tony nominee 25 times, winning his third in 1978 for Dancin. Over his legendary 50-year career, Fisher has won the prestigious Tony Award for Best Lighting Design nine times.

Dancin opened on Broadway on March 27, 1978, at the Broadhurst Theatre and won two Tony Awards, including this for Fishers Best Lighting Design. The show ran for 1,774 performances before closing on June 27, 1982.

Included with this Tony Award is a special collection of Dancin memorabilia: a Dancin Playbill featuring the original cast; a beautiful leather-bound diary signed and presented as an opening night gift from Verdon to stage manager Perry Cline; two personal letters sent to Cline written and signed by Fosse and Fisher; and a collection of personal cards and notes from the original cast.

With your winning bid, you can prominently and proudly display Broadways most coveted, highest accolade - presented to Jules Fisher in 1978 for Dancin - and have the ultimate insiders look into the backstage lives of this brilliant original cast.
