After 34 years as a surgical nurse, I retired and took up pottery. I love to garden, and I handpaint flowers on my pottery. I love to make things and share them with others. I've left my pottery on beaches, in National Parks, in gardens and in other places for people to find. I like to think of my art as my story. Each piece of art that I make is a feeling, a thought, or a small moment in my life that is screaming to get out. I love that I can make things that are uniquely my own and since I handbuild each piece, they are perfectly imperfect. In a time where anything you desire can be be delivered to your doorstep with the click of a button, I love that I am able to create things that require time to make. To be a maker in a world run by machines is incredibly gratifying. My work is my story. My work is me. And each piece is made with love.
