Ricardo Gutierrez De Zubiaurre was born and raised in Mexico City, where he obtained his Diplomado en Fotografía from Universidad Iberoamericana in 1985. He moved to New York City in 1987, where he attended the School of Visual Arts getting his BFA in Photography and MFA in Computer Art. Gutierrez has lived in Rhinebeck, NY since 2006, photographing the area and raising two children.
