A beautiful accent for any home!  Hand-crafted shaker boxes in two sizes.  The larger box measures 7" is and is made by Mark Jacobs.

The smaller box measures 5", unknown crafter, quality-made box.

From Mark Jacobs, the builder, "As a craftsman, I utilize the drawings and techniques perfected by the Shaker community many years ago. The Shakers created boxes and trays for over 160 years, until tin canisters were mass produced. The boxes and trays are as useful today as they were in the 1700's for storage of supplies from beans, buttons to seeds. The sizes are proportioned to nest inside each other and designed to last a lifetime. I make sizes 1 through 8 as well as other specialty boxes and trays. Each is made without glue and are held together with tiny dowels and copper tacks. Each item is a labor of love."
