"Death in the Woods" is the second book in a new mystery series by Maria Mankin and her mother Maren Tirabassi. UCCB members will remember Maren as the leader of the Women's Retreat several years ago.

Wanda Duff, a clergywoman, discovers the body of drama teacher Jonathan Thorne during a walk in the woods, and she and her friend, high school vice principal  Prudence Rye are drawn in to investigating this, their second murder investigation together. In addition to investigating Thorne's murder, Wanda and Prudence have to deal with a few personal problems of their own. The truth is, nothing happens in a quaint New England town without everyone noticing, everyone speculating, everyone talking, and without everyone knowing a killer is among them.
