More About Cong. Gohmert
Congressman Louie Gohmert was born in Pittsburg, Texas. He is a graduate of Mount Pleasant High School and Texas A&M University, as well as Baylor Law School. He served in the United States Army from 1978-1982; as a lawyer in private practice and as a district judge, Smith County, Texas.

He served as Chief Justice, Texas State Twelfth Circuit Court of Appeals 2002-2003 and was elected to the U.S. House in 2002.  Congressman Gohmnert served in the U.S. House 2003 - 2023.
