This year’s fund-a-need has been initiated by SDA students. Recognizing that there is a growing need for mental health resources and support among high school students, SDA administration and students want to create a wellness center and expand wellness programs at SDA.

The wellness center will be a place that students can go to when they feel overwhelmed, anxious, or unable to regulate their emotions. It will contain different sensory activities that students can partake in to refocus their attention and a resource library for mental health strategies and management. The center will also be used to conduct wellness workshops and group discussions.

Students and staff believe that having a wellness center will have a lasting effect on long-term mental health, improved academic performance and promote a positive school culture.

Fund-A-NEED is an annual tradition at our live SDA Auction event but if you can't attend in person, you can donate toward the item online.
