About the artist:

Slavik produces paintings, collages, sculptures and installations that seek to break down boundaries between nature and society. Her work is inspired by the relationships and connections between her local community and the natural world. Among her subjects are neighborhood gardens, city barbecues and urban wildlife. She graduated from Maryland Institute College of Art in 2014 with a BFA in Painting and a concentration in illustration.
