Winning bidder will enjoy a seated tasting for two (2) guests at Davies Vineyards Winery in St. Helena.
Upon your arrival, you will be greeted by your wine educator with one of our small lot Schramsberg sparkling wines. After a little introduction to the long and rich history of the Davies Family and Schramsberg Vineyards, you will be seated to taste through a variety of Davies Vineyards Pinot Noirs and Cabernet Sauvignons.
Seated tasting for two does not include cheese pairing.
About Davies Vineyards: In 1965, Jack and Jamie Davies began reviving Schramsberg Vineyards and the estate's dormant winery. They challenged conventional ideas and relied on innovation to create what are arguably the finest sparkling wines in California. Today, the Davies produce nine sparkling wine cuvées, three of them reserve wines.
In the last decade, the youngest of the Davies' three sons, Hugh, has skillfully elaborated upon this legacy. In recent years, Schramsberg's sparkling wines have garnered top wine media honors and their highest-ever consumer demand. They remain a strong parallel focus as the small-production J. Davies vineyards and wines develop. Hugh Davies has crafted a Cabernet Sauvignon that expresses the historic Diamond Mountain vineyards he explored from early childhood. Named in honor of his father Jack L. Davies, this wine is a culmination of 45 years of intimate knowledge of a place and a passion to create a delicious red wine after more than three decades of creating world-renowned sparkling wines.

Special Instructions
Winning bidders located in Northern California may pick up their items in Napa at a location and date to be arranged -- details will be emailed to winning bidders. Items not picked up by March 8, 2024, will be mailed to the winning bidder, and purchaser is responsible for shipping and insurance costs. (Note that we will automatically mail gift cards and gift certificates for free -- no need to pick those up.)
Items purchased by bidders residing outside of Northern California will be shipped on or around Tuesday, February 6, 2024, unless you tell us that you wish to pick up your item. Purchaser is responsible for shipping and insurance costs. (Gift cards and gift certificates ship for free.) Please contact us at sbspcauction@gmail.com by February 5 if you plan to pick up your auction winnings.
