Description

Selectively planted on 51 acres and deeply rooted in Napa’s Rutherford bench, Staglin’s vines produce a show-stopping, cellar-worthy Cabernet that delivers “an energetic cascade of red and black fruit deepened by dollops of earth, resinous woods, and pinched herbs.”

The Staglin Estate Cabernet Sauvignon—its ‘first-label’ wine—“is bright and focused from start to finish, with impeccable balance, well-judged oak, and tons of sheer appeal,” according to Vinous. Similarly, Wine Spectator describes the 2020 vintage as “a focused, reserved offering, with gently mulled red and black currant fruit mixed with hints of loam, tobacco, and worn cedar” and recommends drinking it now or until 2035. This bottle was purchased directly from the vineyard and, except for transit from Napa to San Francisco, has been cellared at 53 degrees Fahrenheit.
In addition to making world-class wine on its certified organic and 100% solar-powered vineyard, Staglin has donated and raised over $1 billion for brain and mental health.
