The Basic Techniques for Beginners Class includes six 2-hour lessons and six 2-hour self-guided sessions. In this introductory class, students learn basic techniques including coil, slab, and pinch.
Classes are taught by Liz Ford, the owner of Desert Sun Ceramics. As a former high school ceramics teacher, Liz has continued to combine her love for clay with her love for teaching at Desert Sun, leading community classes for both beginners and budding professional potters.
Founded in 2016, Desert Sun Ceramics began with a basic vision – to share the wonders of clay and teach people of all experience levels to unlock their creativity through ceramics. The studio provides a place where clay, creativity, and community meet!
